God bless Rick Dane, causing chaos in the great unknown. Remember Anabelles very well, started sept 1979 where i met my future wife(he's got a lot to answer for) ;-) (only joking love).
I remember once when me and my brother were on the number 11 bus from Huyton, used to go all over the world that, anyway i digress,we noticed rick on his pushbike, as the bus had stopped we shouted out the window, and as he turned around the bus started moving off and missed rick by inches, cue loads of very wobbly steering by Rick and nearly getting decapitated by the buses wing mirror,me and my brother were pissing ourselves laughing and watching Rick doing unmentionable handsignals to the driver.
God bless Rick the world is a poorer place without ya mate.

Rick Dane and Radio Jackie North was the very first local pirate I'd ever heard back around 1977 and its his enthusiasm, presenting style and love of free radio that has had me hooked ever since.
